PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS (PINs)

At ABnote we undertake PIN generation, printing and mailing for most of Australia's financial institutions and organisations.

We specialise in physical security as well as in data encryption technologies, making our PINs the most secure in Australia. Our PIN production operates in accordance with Visa and MasterCard requirements.

Security of the PIN, and in particular identifying attempts to reveal or access the PIN before reaching its intended recipient, is an important visual characteristic that assists in the prevention of fraudulent use of critical information.

Physical Security

All our buildings are covered with CCTV monitoring external and internal areas, entrance doors are electronically controlled, passive infrared movement sensors are fitted along with vibration and seismic detectors and duress alarms. Each facility is within a five minute response time from both Police and Fire Stations. All PIN related communications equipment is contained within a secure PIN Bureau that has swipe access with keypad entry along with user access registers. All items within the PIN Bureau are stored in pad locked security cages ready for next step processing. Audit trails are in place for all products. Products are reconciled after each stage of processing and highly sensitive materials are stored and controlled in a vault.

PIN Options

We offer multiple PIN options including "Peel & Reveal" labels and "Scratch Off" holographic labels.

  • Peel & Reveal PINS
    • Using laser compatible paper stock that is tamper-evident, and also can be over printed as letterhead. This "Peel & reveal" PIN is designed to carry confidential information.
  • Holographic PINS
    • Utilising existing letterhead, this solution overlays the security panel in either a full holographic foil or a tamper evident label. Forensic testing in Australia and Europe confirms this as the most secure solution globally.
